Well, some talk is necessary and helpful when it comes to therapy. One thing that is great about a treatment I am trained in is that you don't have to talk everything through.
EMDR therapy can help you process upsetting or traumatic memories that continue to bother you. Often times, memories we have continue to impact us, and we don't even know it. EMDR therapy has been around 25 years and has been shown to help people with depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addictions, and more.
