I have worked with people from all walks of life and have enjoyed learning along the way. I remember when I got my first job working with people. It was my second year of college, and I wanted to volunteer. I ended up getting a paid job at Shaw House (then only a homeless shelter for teens), because they did not take volunteers. I didn't really know what I was in for.
Since then, I have learned a lot about helping people and have honed my skills.
Random factoids about me:
I have always been passionate about fairness, justice, and helping others.
Silence is okay. I can sit in silence with people and feel okay with not speaking. Sometimes silence helps a lot more than words.
I try to meditate everyday for at least 30 minutes. When I keep up with my regular practice, I notice feeling happier and more at ease.
This is my favorite funny blog - I can't help but laugh hysterically every time I visit it.
